Well, I should be in Philadelphia right now. By my not being there it should be obvious that we didn't go. My Mom's still not 100%. What turned out to be the problem is that the antibiotics that she was given made her sick by killing the good bacteria in her intestines and she got dehydrated. It'll be a while yet till she's back to full.
My Dad did also have two weeks off in August, so we thought about delaying Germany till then. But when my aunt (a travel agent) called back, she told us that not only were we losing $600 on canceling the plane tickets, but the same tickets in August would be $1,000 more <i>a piece.</i> Plus everything there would be "season rates" so it would be much more expensive. My Dad guessed about double. So... we're going to have to wait till next year.
Oh well. . .
Dream:
I just had this one last night. I wonder what the hell it means.
I was somewhere and I meet this girl. Nice looking, good features with long brown hair. Anyway we're talking and she proposes. I remember it was June 5th, but apparently it wasn't yet May in my dream because June was a while off. I don't say no and am generally confused but happy.
Next thing I telling my parents about it. I decide that I should date her a few times so I can get to know her before I marry her. My parents and I also go out to buy wedding cards. Not the cheapest mind you, I remember the lesson from that. (Ask if you don't get that because it was in my dream.)
Now I'm talking to her again, but I'm in this interrogation room like chair. She showed me the cards she bought (much nicer than mine) and we were both in a pretty good mood. I don't remember asking her for a date.

All I know is that fiddleing with the program is the best way to improve.
That's absolutely true. I didn't even know what Photoshop was four years ago. Now I know a lot about the program by just playing around with it (I have actually made 40+ walls but I chose to only post the bigger-res ones here). If you want to get good at making walls then my tip for you is to learn PS by just playing around with it a lot, even if you can't get good results at first.
I've always been a fan of SEL and this seems to make more of the mood than most walls I've seen.
Like koi89 mentiioned though, the thing on the right seems to be a bit much and doesn't feel right. My though, is that though it may just be me, there are too many colors. The pink RIA stands out too much since I thought that the focus would be on the eyes as it always seems to be with Lain, and the RIA distracts from it. The redness of the brown on the right also stands out, and would probably have been better if it was browner like the backround.
Just my thought. It's a +fave anyway.

I agree with you on the colors. Though at first, that problem was a whole lot bigger in the wall. I spent a lot of time trying to make the colors fit by using photo-filters and by playing with the contrast and levels. The fact that you still like it means that I at least succeded in saving the wall from the real color-problem I faced in the beginning XD
